SCARVES

Discharge Dyed

The scarf is dyed using the Japanese Arashi Shibori technique.

The black silk is first wrapped onto a cylinder with string.
Then the fabric is compressed into folds using a twisting movement.

After the pole is pre-soaked in water,
it is immersed in a warm discharge bath which “bleaches out”
the black dye on the outside folds.

Hand-washable.  Colourfast.

A range of these scarfs in this style can be purchased from

Custom orders are also welcomed.
