My name is Susanne Williamson

and I have been dyeing and sewing fabrics for over 30 years.

I LOVE COLOUR!

And putting different colour combinations together, while using a range of techniques and fabrics, is what I find most exciting.

The strong colours I use in my work, reflect the vibrancy of the Nelson Region.

My great pleasure in life is to create, design,

and make beautiful, practical products.

Here in Nelson, I studied at NMIT in the fashion, design and textile programme.

Where I extended my skill base in textile dyeing techniques,

pattern drafting and design.

I have also attended numerous dyeing workshops over the years.

I have been a regular stall holder at the Nelson Market for over 20 years, where I sell a range of hand-dyed silk and merino scarves, and many other gift items.
