Paua Shibori

The scarf is hand-dyed using the Japanese Arashi Shibori technique.

The white silk is first wrapped onto a cylinder with string.
Then the fabric is compressed into folds using a twisting movement.

The fabric is then painted while wrapped on the cylinder, dried,
unwrapped, then ironed flat to reveal the pattern.

Once dried, the fabric is steam-fixed for 2-3 hours to create
permanent, vibrant, colour.

Hand-washable.  Colourfast.
