When it comes to sunsets, Nelson often puts on a spectacular show of colour, design
and brilliant lighting effects. And from the vantage point of the Queenʼs Road Reserve,
the distant mountains complete the breath-taking scene.

One summer night there was an especially dramatic sunset, and many people were
spontaneously drawn to this vantage point. In the calm twilight we all stood
silent and in reverence to the ever changing kaleidoscope of colour….

A shared moment; a special moment. I felt elated and at the same time humbled
to be able to be witness to this wonderful display of nature.
